SPECTACULAR CRASH INTO FIRE HYDRANT

A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash that damaged a fire hydrant shooting water 60 feet into the air in San Francisco early on Tuesday morning.

The collision was reported outside 691 O’Farrell Street near Hyde Street at 12:42 a.m., according to the fire department.

A collision between a taxi and a car sent the taxi into the fire hydrant, according to emergency services.

Water gushed 60 feet into the air.

No one was injured in the crash, police said.
