Water Snake Eats Weird Fish - Attacks Camera!
What an unforgettable scene! Northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon) feasts on what appears to be a male round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) on Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Ontario. There are also rattlesnakes there.
I managed to keep the snake from escaping into the bushes, which allowed me to film it from very up close. The snake quickly ate the whole fish starting with the tail and then attacked me before escaping. The full scene lasted under 10 minutes.
