Restaurant Has Huge Trees Growing through It
A restaurant in Henan Province, China has just reopened after building a large extension and now has three huge trees growing right through the new foyer.
The owners were refused permission to cut down the 30-year-old poplars, so decided to incorporate them into the new design.
Builders created large holes in each floor of the restaurant and through the roof to accommodate the trees.
According to local news reports, the restaurant owners have taken into account the fact that the trees will continue to grow and factored in the required space.
