A funny video has emerged of a charging cow destroying a staged picnic at a festival in France.

The footage of the game traditionally known as ‘La Table’ was captured at the ‘Fêtes de Bayonne’ in the town of Bayonne late last month.

A group of daring participants can be seen sat at a plastic picnic table in the centre of a ring before a cow is sent charging towards them in a test of their bravery.

According to the rules, one of the participants must then catch the attention of the cow and “interview” it about the event in order to keep it from harming any of the participants.

The enraged cow causes some significant damage but, miraculously, all of the willing volunteers survived the game without any serious injuries.
