An amazing video has emerged from Switzerland of a base jumper crash-landing into trees.

The video was captured by American professional base jumper Heath Ordway, also known as Wasatchrider, in Lauterbrunnen.

The video begins with Ordway and his friend leaping from a cliff overlooking the village.

After several breathtaking seconds of freefall, Ordway opens his parachute but loses control and starts to spin and comes down in the canopy of a tree where he is left hanging 20 feet in the air.

Orway was forced to cut away his parachute and climb down the branches of the tree to the ground.

Amazingly, he escaped with only a few cuts and bruises.
