A bizarre video has emerged from Germany of a remote-controlled, flying pizza box.

Dirk Reich from Hamburg invented his first prototype ‘pizzacopter’ by attaching four flight engines to a regular pizza box which has been specially adapted for improved flight.

In the footage, filmed at Dirk’s home earlier this month, the pizza box can be seen lifting from the ground and gliding through a doorway to land on a table.

Dirk is now considering adding extra functionality including fully automated flight and having the lid open automatically on landing.
