Motocross rider backflips over stunt plane

A cool video has emerged of a motorcyclist performing a backflip over a stunt plane in New South Wales, Australia.

Freestyle motocross rider Joel Brown completed the daring manoeuvre at an airfield just outside Maitland earlier this month.

The video shows Brown riding at high-speed off a ramp and somersaulting backwards over a low-flying stunt plane.

Brown is the current Australian freestyle motocross champion, and has been riding professionally for five years, but this was his first ever choreographed stunt.

“As the day got closer the nerves started to affect me. It's not just the jump it's also your machine and if something happened on the ramp where my bike suffered an engine failure. As a rider we tend not to think about these things,” Brown told a local news organisation.
