An amusing video has emerged of a herd of cows inspecting a drone which crashed into a field in Belgium.

The video captures the moment one of the animals tips the drone off the ground, revealing two confused cows looming over the device.

Frank Trioen was testing his new quadcopter near the Vliegclub Ursel airstrip in Knesselare earlier this month when it lost control and spun out of the sky.

After searching through some nearby fields, Trioen eventually found the drone surrounded by the herd of curious cattle.

“I had lost visual contact with the drone because two aircraft started practicing landing and take-off procedures on the usually abandoned airstrip! I wanted to let it come down as fast as possible to keep it safe. You see a new protective system in action when the drone gracefully falls out of the sky. After many minutes of desperate searching I noticed it safely landed amid two dozen surprised cows in the field next to me” Tionen later wrote online.
