Hawk Attacks Quadcopter!

Buy video

One morning, I was out flying my quadcopter, and a hawk decided he didn't like me in his airspace...

- Hawk is okay, as far as I can tell. My initial reaction when the hawk came in was to turn off the motors as quickly as possible to eliminate any potential problems for him.
- Drone is okay; no noticeable damage, still flies great.
- I've had the drone (a Phantom FC40 quadcopter) for approximately 6 months, and fly it several times per week. Magazine Beach is the closest large park to me, and I often come here with my daughter to fly. This is first time I've seen this hawk, but others tell me he's a resident of the park.
- The hawk is a juvenile red-tailed hawk. (Juvenile because he doesn't have any red on his tail yet.)
