Fireball meteor spotted over the UK

A video has emerged of a huge fireball meteor passing over the skies of the UK on Wednesday morning.

Captured at the Norman Lockyer Observatory in Devon at 5:44 am, the footage shows the meteor giving out a large orb of light.

The International Astronomical Union defines a fireball as 'a meteor brighter than any of the planets' (magnitude −4 or greater).
