A heart-warming video has emerged of a group of good samaritans building a house out of a shipping container for a homeless man in Romania.

The footage shows the extraordinary lengths the group went to, to create a pleasant home for the man after they heard about his plight through social media.

“About two weeks ago a friend of mine shared this old man’s story on Facebook and I knew I had to do something so I asked people for help” the filmer wrote online.

“We managed to raise 1,000 euros quite quickly and then this guy came up with a shipping container. We enjoyed every second of it, the old man was so happy he couldn’t believe it. None of us knew him so I guess he felt lucky being helped by complete strangers.”

“Right now we really want to build him a fence because junkies trespass on his property nearly every night and he is frightened. We are now trying to raise money for that.”
