CCTV footage has emerged of a delivery man appearing to sign for a parcel and leaving it in a homeowner’s garage after no one answered the door at a home in Brighton, UK.

In the video, captured on a security camera shortly before Christmas, the Parcelforce delivery driver can be seen opening a garage door and depositing a package on the floor.

The homeowner claims he was only able to discover the whereabouts of his package after reviewing the CCTV footage:

"We spent days chasing the delivery because we didn’t know it was in the garage. When we called we were told it had been delivered and that we had signed for it! Making out we were trying to pull a fast one. When I was told the time and date of the delivery I was able to check the CCTV and see what happened.

“He opens our garage door … leaves the parcel inside but then signs for the parcel using our name and does not leave a card to say where the parcel is!

"Customer services said that this is a serious issue but did not do anything about it. I called and wrote to them but have not had a reply" he later wrote online.
