Huge escalators help China commuters
Footage has emerged from China of an impressively large set of outdoor escalators. They have been built on hillsides to provide local commuters with travel convenience in Chongqing, a city famous for its mountainous topography.
According to local reports, the escalators were constructed by the railway company to connect a railway station with several bus stops beneath and nearby residential areas on the hill.
The escalators are believed to help locals avoid a climb roughly equivalent to ten floors of steps.
