An amusing video from the Newsflare archive of a snowboarder getting knocked over by a passing chairlift in Japan while filming a selfie.

The unfortunate filmer can be seen speeding through the snow, filming himself with a selfie stick, when the unexpected ski lift catches his head from behind. The footage was captured in Nagano Prefecture in January 2015.

He later wrote online: " After 100cm of fresh snow in a day or so, snowboarding under a chairlift meant the snow and the chairlift were much closer than usual.

"I said to my friend 20 seconds before to watch out for the chairlifts but I didn't take my own advice.

"I couldn't have planned it any better if I tried moving my camera from behind me to in front."
