London March for the Homeless 2015 blocks Piccadilly Circus
Hundreds of Londoners took part in the March for the Homeless, temporarily shutting down some of the capital's most expensive streets, including Piccadilly Circus, where a brief but noisy sit-down protest was staged.
The ‘No more deaths on our streets’-themed March for the Homeless 2015 was held in remembrance of at least 149 people who died last year in London alone. It aimed to highlight the growth of homeless on the streets of the UK as the consequence of the removal of welfare support and increasing official persecution and to raise the problem as an election issue..
