Dramatic footage has emerged of the moment commuters were about to be evacuated onto the tracks near Clapham Junction station, London, UK on Thursday.

The rush-hour incident, involving a damaged power supply, led to several hours of delays on rail services and is expected to cause further disruption.

The filmer later wrote online: "I was travelling on the 07.02 train from East grinstead to London Victoria on 30.4.15.

"We hit something in the track at approx 08.00 and stopped outside Clapham junction. The train didn't move and we were stuck for 3 hours.

"There was a loud bang and flash. We stopped and where held there for 3 hours. This was just before we were evacuated.

We were eventually evacuated at 10.55am this is the route we took along the track."
