This pelican named Percy twirls around for food to the delight of passing tourists in Emu Point, Australia.

Footage from October 18 shows the bird pirouette before being fed by impressed tourists.

Filmer Bob Humphries told Newsflare: "Percy is a female Australian pelican who was rescued by Captain Jack of the tourist vessel Kalgan Queen and his father 21 years ago.

"The young Percy was entangled in a fishing line and couldn’t fly. Jack’s parents allowed him to rehabilitate the rescued Pelican in the bathtub at home, and the then 10-year-old Jack named it Percy, not knowing the bird’s gender at the time.

"At feeding time Jack would get Percy to twirl around in the bath before giving her the fish. When she was better, Percy was released into Oyster Harbour to join the Pelicans living there.

"Ever since then Percy flies to the Kalgan Queen, and to the delight of the passengers performs her twirling dance in return for a fresh fish or two."
