Cyclist Lizzie Armitstead crashes at finish line
Dramatic footage of British cyclist Lizzie Armitstead crashing after winning the first stage of the Women’s Tour in Aldeburgh, UK on Wednesday.
In the video, captured by East Anglian Daily Times reporter Ellis Barker, the 26-year-old athlete can be seen celebrating her win by raising her arms, shortly before she collided with a group of photographers.
She was immediately taken to hospital where the full extent of her injuries is being assessed.
Several other riders were also caught up in the crash.
