Mobility scooter side wheelie

Buy video

A shocked passenger recorded the moment that a man riding an 8mph mobility scooter did a side wheelie past him in busy traffic. The crazy driver was spotted by Jack O'Hanlon who was in a car with friends in Eccles, Greater Manchester, and began filming him. As the mobility scooter swerved in front of his car the rider pulled a wheelie, flipping the vehicle on to its two left hand side wheels. The rider, who appeared to be aged in his 40s went through a set of traffic lights maintaining the wheelie before speeding off. It was reminiscent of the scene from the 1971 James Bond movie Diamonds are Forever where Sean Connery drives his Ford Mustang on to the two right hand wheels through a narrow alley to escape a police chase. The footage was captured on Liverpool Road in the Eccles area of Salford, Greater Manchester on Wednesday night.
