Bizarre twitching slab of beef seen in China
A bizarre video has emerged from China of a piece of beef pulsating after being bought from a butcher.
In the footage, filmed by a customer in Shandong Province on Thursday, the raw steak can be seen twitching on a cooking surface as if it were somehow still alive.
According to local reports a health expert Mr Lv put rest to theories of worms and parasites - explaining that the movements were from dying nerve endings as the meat had been only recently butchered. The movements are said to go after a short while and the meat is safe to eat.
