Further dramatic footage has emerged of a hot air balloon crashing at a festival in Utah, US on Thursday.

The videos, captured at approximately 07:00am (local time) at the Freedom Festival in Provo, show a pink piggy bank-shaped balloon falling slowly from the sky.

According to local reports, the crash is the first in the Freedom Festival's 31-year history, which is held as part of the Fourth of July celebrations.

A local news site reported that the balloon, sponsored by the Bank of American Fork, was about 300 yards in the air when the basket of another balloon passed overhead, accidentally tearing a hole in the first balloon's canopy.

No injuries were reported, other than the pilot who apparently received treatment for minor burns and a cut above his eye.
