Cool footage has emerged from China of a jetpack being debuted in front of excited crowds.

In the footage, captured at an event in Beijing on Saturday, a man flies a hydrogen peroxide-powered jetpack above more than a thousand spectators.

Organisers of the event hoped the stunt would give China a glimpse of a possible future transportation system.

The jetpack, named ‘GoFast’, is made by JetPack International - founded by Troy Widgery.

Widgery claims the next-generation jetpack will increase flight duration by about 30 minutes.
