Jacob Strickling, the 'Mad Scientist' from Down Under (Sydney ,Australia), famous for his Whale Whispering efforts, is also somewhat of a zany inventor.
While wiggling the end of a hose-pipe when watering the garden, inspiration struck! Jacob couldn't help but wonder what the water might look like if it was wiggled in a dark room, illuminated only by a strobe light.
Jacob set the demonstration up using some simple equipment found around the home. He used a small loudspeaker (shaped like a koala!), a bucket of water, an ipad with a tone generator app, an iphone with a strobe app and a short length of aquarium hose.
To his utter amazement he produced the most stunning visual effect he had ever seen. In fact it took his breath away. This is a must watch video. Jacob thinks that he has been the first to 'discover' this amazing visual phenomenon.
