A hilarious video has emerged from Belarus showing a pickup truck which has been converted into a mobile swimming pool.

The video shows people splashing about in the homemade tub as the vehicle drives around central Minsk.

The makers of the swimming pool came up with the idea as a means of cooling off in a heatwave earlier this month.

Traffic police were not amused, however, and fined the owner of the vehicle for breaking passenger safety and cargo transportation rules, according to local media.

During hot summer days in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, with the temperature above 30 degrees a group of young people found an original method how to escape from the heat and refresh themselves. They had transformed the pickup body into a bath with soapy water and were driving throughout the city laughing and splashing each other. But though this fun seems to be harmless, the traffic police did not think so: the owner of the car was given tickets for violation of rules of passengers and cargo transportation.
