Philou restaurant after Paris attacks

Buy video

Footage of restaurant customers hiding in the Philou restaurant just around the corner from the terror attack on Le Petit Cambodge.

Filmer's description:
"Four of us were eating dinner at Philou, which is about a block away (around a corner) from Le Petite Cambodge, where one of the shootings happened. We were sitting outside. We heard about 10-20 shots in a steady boom, boom, boom manner. Like a semi-automatic. Then we heard a couple other shots which sounded like it was from a different gun. At first we thought it might be fireworks. Then, about 5 seconds later, we heard a few more shots and saw people running around the corner onto our street. Everyone sitting outside quickly got up and ran into the restaurant...we went to the back, and down the stairs.

There was obviously much confusion. Someone who ran into the restaurant from Le Petit Cambodge said she saw the person with the gun and saw at least one dead body. She also said it was a local mafia thing and didn’t seem too concerned!? After about 15 minutes, everyone who was sitting outside actually went back outside to continue eating. We thought that was weird, but all the locals did, so we did. Then another 15 minutes or so and we heard someone yelling (maybe police telling us to go back inside?) and everyone outside ran back inside again, and we stayed there for awhile.

The first shots were around 9:30 and we ended up leaving at 12:30. We had to walk approx 30 minutes back to our place."
