A fashionista has revealed her top tips for dressing stylishly at Glastonbury - including a ban on trainers and using plastic bags.

Natalie McMullen, 33, has been to festivals across the world, including Worthy Farm - twice.

She's heading back to Glastonbury and has shared her top tips for what to wear.

The festival is renowned for being muddy, hot and involves a lot of walking.

The admin assistant, from Liverpool, says that although wearing an eye-catching outfit is important, staying comfy is key.

She said: "The most important thing is to make sure your comfortable. Glastonbury is the size of a city and you'll walk about 40,000 steps a day."

"You can balance style with practicality though - mix it up! You can put a little sequin dress under a raincoat and still look cool."

"Skorts are also perfect for this. They look like skirts but you can get on peoples shoulders and on the floor."

"Hats are another thing to consider if you want to look great but also be comfy. They elevate every look but they keep your face out of the sun and are practical."

"If you want to wear a maxi skirt, me and my friends find that having one with a slit in it makes it a lot easier to walk around in."

"It's things like that that mean you can still look amazing but you can enjoy the festival too."

One area Natalie doesn't compromise on comfort is her footwear.

She always wears walking boots and even avoids trainers following several bad experiences walking around the festival site.

The admin assistant added: "In terms of shoes, I always do walking boots. Some of my friends do Converse but they ruin my feet."

"I wore vans one year because they went better with my outfit but my feet were absolutely killing me."

"One year I wore Doc Martens and I didn't even make it out of the campsite my feet literally had holes in them."

"I cannot stress enough how important comfy shoes are. It doesn't matter whether they don't go with your outfit - walking boots are what I always go for."

When it comes to packing, Natalie uses a unique strategy to make sure she has everything in order and ready to go on-site.

She stores each days outfits, accessories and even underwear into little bags - similar to sandwich bags - and uses products to make sure she steps out of her tent crease-free.

She said: "One of my friends I'm going with uses this trick when she goes to Ibiza so I do it for festivals."

"I use individual bags - like little Shein bags - to put my outfits in. Everything goes in it from the clothes to accessories to underwear."

"I label the bags Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I can pull them out and put them on."

"It saves so much time and otherwise the tent would be up in arms with my clothes everywhere."

"In terms of packing I always use a backpack. One year I brought a suitcase but it didn't work very well."

"Also, I know people don't really care about their clothes being creased at a festival but if you're like me and you do I always bring a bottle of Crease Release and hang the outfit out for a few hours."
