An amazing video has emerged from New Zealand of a great white shark repeatedly trying to bite a small fishing boat.

In the video, which was filmed last Saturday close to Frenchman Island, the shark keeps circling the boat and attempting to bite the motor.

According to the fishermen, eventually the shark ended up hit its nose on the boat and swam off.

We went out one morning and the boat wouldn't start. We had bad luck the previous day with someone bringing a banana on board and another getting sea sick. Then the following morning we got on the ward at 5 am. Next thing you know the boat wouldn't start. We pulled the truck into the tide and hooked up some jumper cables but still no luck. We then made the journey back into town where we had to wait for a marine battery shop to open. We almost didn't end up going back out but due to Isaiah's parents persistence we did.
