Cool, slow-motion footage of a candle igniting acetylene gas, as part of a science experiment for a YouTube channel.

The video, filmed in NSW, Australia on Sunday, shows the gas forming from a reaction between a calcium carbide rock and water, and when it reaches the flame it ignites into a big fireball.

The video was produced by Jacob Strickling, who runs the YouTube channel Make Science Fun.
