Heartwarming footage of the moment a young girl was surprised by her parents after her dog, which had been missing for two years, returned home.

The video, filmed in Ohio, shows the Jocelyn crying tears of joy as she strokes Pokenotz the Dachshund for the first time since August 2014.

The filmer later wrote online: "My daughter was heartbroken and we gave up looking for her and I was watering my yard and Pokenotz came back.

"My daughter Jocelyn was at school and I decided to surprise her with the good news, she reacted very emotionally and after all she told me that dreams come true."
