My Crash - Broadhurst Edge descent - Peak District

Buy video

While mountain biking in the Peak District in the UK I was unsighted by the rider in front, clipped a rock and lost my front wheel at speed (20mph), and crashed head first into the trail. Fortunately I completed the ride, although the mild concussion, whiplash and gravel rash down my right hand side made themselves felt later! The main impact was on my head and it was saved from any damage by my Giro Xar helmet, a fantastic piece of kit! I'm happy to say I made a fully and relatively quick recovery.
