A cool video has emerged of a Chinese thermometer called "Pee-Pee Boy" squirting out fire.

In the footage, shot by science teacher Jacob Strickling on Monday in Gosford, NSW, Australia, the clay figurine is filled with methylated spirits and placed in front of a flame.

When hot water is poured on the Pee-Pee Boy the liquid contained inside squirts out and catches on fire.

The filmer wrote online: "Pee-Pee Boy is a type of Chinese thermometer which squirts out water when hot water used for tea is poured on him. The hotter the water, the further he pees".

"Methylated spirits is a very dangerous flammable liquid which needs to be handled with extreme care. A trained Science Teacher is overseeing and supervising the filming of this footage" he added.
