An attempted robbery executed by a moped gang took place at a watch store in Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Tuesday, October 9, with one police officer injured in the incident.

According to local media, six raiders riding on three bikes targeted the Watchfinder & Co. outlet at around 7 pm. One of the raiders was allegedly brandishing a pick axe.

An officer and one of the suspects was taken to hospital for injuries not believed to be major, and a woman in her 50s was treated by paramedics.

The filmer told Newsflare that the footage started about 10-15 seconds after they began the robbery attempt, and that police calmly moved people away from the scene in the aftermath.

Two suspects have since been arrested.
