A heartwarming video has emerged of a police officer pushing a disabled man's motorised wheelchair after it ran out of battery.

The footage, shot on Thursday in Hamilton, OH, USA, shows officer Thacker pushing the wheelchair along the snow-covered road in order to take the man to a warm place where he could charge his battery.

''There was around 3" of snow on the ground and it was in the low 20's, so the man was very cold,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''Officer Thacker took his coat off and put it on the man in the wheelchair and pushed him 5-6 blocks to a county building to get warm and charge his battery.''

''The gentleman in the wheelchair is hoping to get a new wheelchair to prevent this from happening again,'' he continued.
