This a is a video of a hit and run crash that occurred June 2016 in Fillongley near Coventry. My partner was heading to work when a car over took another car on a blind bend at speed. Loosing control and ending up on her side of the road. She tried to avoid the impact but he was travelling far to fast to stop. After the impact our car was disabled (£8500 damage) and the other driver did not even slow. The police viewed the video and identified the car. we were surprised to find out that the car was not stolen and was insured. My partner is still having issues related to injuries sustained (shoulder and elbow) the case against the driver went to court on the 29th November 2016 for dangerous driving,failing to stop and failing to report an accident. He received a 20 week suspended sentence. 20 month driving ban, 80 unpaid work and ordered to pay a fine.
This has also had a emotional impact on my partner, such as Nightmares and made her nervous to be in a car.
