People enjoy Spain’s first Carnival celebration of the year
Footage has emerged from, Spain, of a parade during 'La Vijanera', a carnival festival in Cantabria.
The video, shot on Sunday, shows a group of people dressed up as 'Zamarracos' -a typical costume made of fur and with enormous cowbells- walking on the streets of Silio village.
La Vijanera is one of the earliest winter masquerades of pre-Roman origin and celebrates the end of the winter and the cycle of change.
