Have-a-go hero tackles armed robbers at post office
This is the dramatic moment a have-a-go hero tackles two gun-wielding men as they rob a post office. The 43-year-old off-duty policeman was delivering a letter when he spotted the men in motorcycle helmets raiding the shop in Minas Gerais, Brazil. One man jumps behind the counter and opens fire in front of horrified customers before ripping open the shop's till. But the cop - in bright pink shirt - pulled out his pistol and had an incredible shootout with the two thugs as terrified women fled the scene. Heart-stopping footage shows him peering round the corners of the building firing shots at the two robbers - before they pin him to the ground and batter him in the head.
