Australian rivers timelapse
This movie shows the repeated floods down the rivers, the filling and emptying of Lake Eyre over the last two years and the growing vegetation around the river catchments.Out of the 730 images captured by the MODIS satellite since January of 2009, only 121 images were not obscured by cloud of one kind or another, which says something about how much solar exposure there has been during this period.If you can get one of the youtube video downloaders and watch this in a viewer that lets you do frame-by-frame advance, feel free, as you'll get a much better view :)
