Mum reacts hilariously after daughter overhauls messy basement for Christmas present
A heartwarming video has emerged from the US of a mother getting emotional when she is surprised by her daughter with a completely new, overhauled basement as a Christmas gift.
The video, shot in Boulder, Colorado on Christmas Day last year, shows the mother receiving an inventory book, made by her daughter, as a Christmas gift with all the wedding stuff stored in the basement of the house.
While she reads it, she realises that the book gathers the exact positions where the things have been all placed. That's when her daughter, Jillian, says "that's the second part of the gift" and guides her mum to the storage room to give her the 'real' gift.
''It’s been 3 years since my parents have seen the floor in their basement. After two weddings and multiple moves, my poor parents' basement has been the dumping grounds for all the decorations and extra furniture for three adult daughters,'' Jillian later wrote online.
''It has been a daunting task for my mom to try and clean two weddings worth of glass candle holders/tablecloths/everything else and get it all organized.''
''No one outside of our nuclear family has been allowed downstairs for over three years. So for Christmas, I SURPRISED my mom with a complete overhaul of the basement,'' she continued.
