An adorable video has emerged of a black bear cub staring at its reflection in a car door.

The footage, shot in Waterton Lakes National Parks, Canada, shows the bear cub standing on its hind legs, poking at the car door.

"At first we weren't able to determine what they were concerned about, but a closer look at the video showed the baby bear "attacking" his reflection," the filmer wrote online.

"We were unable to go anywhere as the baby bears had been moving back and forth across the road, and as there were 3 cubs it was hard to keep track of where they all were, so we just sat and watched until they moved off into the trees," they added.

Although the clip was shot in 2015, it only recently emerged online.

After watching a black bear mother and her cub take a closer look at a nearby vehicle, we were able to grab some video of another of her cubs following suit. At first we weren't able to determine what they were concerned about, but a closer look at the video showed the baby bear "attacking" his reflection.

We were unable to go anywhere as the baby bears had been moving back and forth across the road, and as there were 3 cubs it was hard to keep track of where they all were, so we just sat and watched until they moved off into the trees.

Nb. The front vehicle has its windows closed, they were not feeding or trying to coax the bears in any way that we could see. We're pretty sure that it was just the reflection that was of concern to the bear family.
