Impressive footage has emerged from China of an artist using a kitchen knife to draw and write on paper.

The footage, captured in Kaifeng, Henan Province last week, shows the man using a kitchen knife and ink to write traditional Chinese characters.

According to local reports, he called this kind of calligraphy “Dao Shu” and it has been handed down from his ancestors stretching back 200 years.

The footage, filmed in Kaifeng, Henan Province on February 4, shows a man using a kitchen knife and ink to write an idiom consisting of four Chinese characters on the paper, which means success.

He called this kind of calligraphy as “Dao Shu” and it handed down from his ancestors, which has already had 200-year history.
