Brela
Welcome to Brela, spring of beauty!
Brela is a small tourist resort situated on the Makarska Riviera. They offer the riches of the crystalline sea, six kilometres of natural sandy beaches, the scent and the beauty of the thick pine tree forest (in large part a natural monument), numerous pedestrian zones which entangle from the walking area along the coast, to the old hamlets, proud of the old Dalmatian architecture, and all the way to the peaks of the mountain Biokovo.
Beacuse of its natural and cultural heritage, from the very beginning of its past the resort of Brela hasf an important part in the tourism of Makarska riviera. Today the resort Brela continues its long tradition in offering to toursits the comfortable accommodation and hospitality of their residents, old Dalmatian cuisine, wines, song, and amusement.
Brela municipality consists of two locations (localities, parts):
Brela Gornja (Upper Brela), situated in the hinterland of Biokovo (almost the whole settlement is situated inside the Natural Park Biokovo), and the settlement Brela, consisting of a few small hamlets on the both sides of the main road. The biggest of them are Soline and Donje Selo.

The second-largest city in Croatia, Split (Spalato in Italian) is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance of tradition and modernity. Step inside Diocletian’s Palace (a Unesco World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) and you’ll see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops thriving amid the atmospheric old walls where Split life has been going on for thousands of years. To top it off, Split has a unique setting. Its dramatic coastal mountains act as the perfect backdrop to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic. You’ll get a chance to appreciate this gorgeous cityscape when making a ferry journey to or from the city.

Split is often seen mainly as a transport hub to the hip nearby islands (which, indeed, it is), but the city has been sprucing itself up and attracting attention by renovating the old Riva (seafront) and replacing the former cement strolling ground with a marble look. Even though the modern transformation hasn’t pleased all the locals, the Riva is a beauty.
