Dramatic CCTV footage has surfaced from China showing a driver run down a police officer and drive with him on the bonnet (hood) for hundreds of metres.

In the video, which was filmed earlier this month in Shangdong Province, two police officers can been seen talking to the driver of a white car. Suddenly, the driver makes a break for it and drives straight into one of the officers, carrying him along on the bonnet of the vehicle for 5-hundred metres.

A second officer on a motorbike managed to stop the driver, who was found to be in possession of several fake licenses and a crossbow, according to Chinese police.

The CCTV footage, filmed on Zhaozhuang, Shandong Province on Thursday, shows a white car suddenly driving forward when two police officers are checking it.

While, one police officer is dragged by the speeding car for 500 metres.

According to local news, the driver trying to escape being checked suddenly launched his car after he said he worked for government.

Finally, the car was forced to stop by the backup officer's motorbike.

Police officers found several fake licenses and a bow in the car.

The dragged police had minor injuries on his arm and leg.

The driver was fined and deducted 12 points. While, his other illegal actions were in processing.
