Bindi was a 3-day old musang AKA masked palm civet cat. A villager brought it to us when its mother ran off and left it being chased by dogs. We thought it was a baby bear cat. When it started getting a masked face, I decided to research the internet and found out she is a palm civet. She is now 2 months old. I didn't know what to feed her so I got some infant formula and she's still on it plus fruit and boiled chicken and fruits. Very playful. The poop of the civet cat is harvested when it has eaten coffee berries, cleaned, roasted, and then sold as the most expensive coffee in the world. It's known as Civet Coffee, Kapi Luwak, Kape Alamid and can cost up to 180$ USD per pound.Bindi is just a well-loved pet, releasing her back into the wild is not an option. Her kind is eaten by villagers. We take Bindi around to schools to try and teach the children to respect and not eat them. Read more about Bindi on my blog at: http:// our-pet-musang.blogspot.com
