Amazing footage of a stand-up paddle boarder dipping her GoPro underwater off the coast of Hawaii only to spot a large tiger shark swimming very close to her.

The video, filmed near Honokohau Harbor, shows the camera being lowered into sea, soon revealing the large but apparently unthreatening shark minding its own business.

The filmer later wrote online: "My friend and I returning to the Honokohau Harbor after a morning paddle were greeted by a beautiful 4 meter shark.

"Our boards are just 3 meters, the shark was longer and wider."

"Later we were able to identify him, known as Tony, one of the local Tiger Sharks that cruise the Hawaiian waters," she continued.
