Iraqi prime minister has announced the launch of a military assault aimed at liberating western Mosul from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group.

After three month of fighting ISIL group in the eastern side of Mosul, Iraqi army begun an offensive in order to retake a western side of the city.

On the way to south west fronts of the city, a large number of Iraqi army convoy were in the roads.

Colonel Haydar in the Iraqi Federal Police at south fronts of Mosul explains the role of drones in fights against ISIS.

Before any advancement of the troops,the Iraqi army carefully monitor the area from the sky.

"We watch them [ISIS fighters]
through our drones. Before we enter any new area to liberate, we target the strategic and crucial positions" he said

Using such a technique in the fights against ISIS resulted in massive change in terms of the loses of Iraqi army.

"We have transferable operation room with two types of drones, normal drone for a day time. Also in night we watch them through night vision drones" he added
