Flash flooding in Tormorden, West Yorkshire

The scene in Walsden, near Todmorden, in West Yorkshire where torrential rainfall has caused flash flooding. The area was hit by up to 18in (46cm) of water on Monday night after heavy rain. The flood caused "sheer devastation", according to residents, as it poured from a culvert and down a side street, ripping out huge chunks of tarmac, and destroying the road.
