Motorbike Accident, September 2016
My second accident, this time on my beloved Honda MSX, as you can see we're slowly going down the road, she then starts to brake as I can see the traffic in front, but then she indicates left, there is a side road there and it clearly looks like the is slowing down due to traffic and also the car crossing over in front of her, so again, it looks like she is indicating to go down that left side street, but she sort of brakes suddenly and then starts to reverse straight away, no way did she check her mirrors down that street otherwise she'd of seen me, I was dressed as Elmo for goodness sake, but anyway, she reverses in to me and thankfully it wasn't too much of a force and my front fender only jammed under her bumper, and due to this my bike started to go sideways so I tried to lay it down myself and get off it.... a guy on the side then had to tell her to go forward, and she then went around the corner while I picked the bike up, she then walked back around with her details already in hand to give to me so knew she was at fault, she said the car was a disabled car for her son, who was also in there, looking back at the footage once I got home I noticed on the left of us was a big disabled parking area, to me it looks like she was trying to reverse in to that seeing how her wheels turned, but it was more than big enough to go in to while going forward, I don't understand why she totally missed it, went passed it to then stop and indicate and try and reverse in to it while not checking her mirrors!!!.... but thankfully there wasn't too much damage and no injuries, I went straight back home and rang our insurance companies about it, and awhile after I had a cheque for the parts which I bought and fitted myself.
