Since December 2013 Jakarta was under a serious flood attack. Heavy rain caused floods in Kemang, popular hangout area in Jakarta, Indonesia.

While the flood caused traffic jams throughout the area, little kids make the most of it. Parents happily allow their children play in the flood water.

Asih: My name is Asih

Flooding here?
Asih: Yes is flooding here now

How many times this flood hit your place?
Asih: Every time it rains, always

Everytime it rain will make this area flooded?
Asih: Yes Everytime

Are you drying your floor yet?
Asih: Not yet, later when the water goes down

Asih: That's my daughter there, the one wearing glasses

If it rains your kids will play in the rain?
Asih: No, only this time, usually I never let them go out and play.

Why you don't let them?
Asih: I let them play in the flood now because they already ate and drink vitamin, usually I never let them.

Why you don't let them?
Asih: Because I was worry and scared them playing in the flood, we must be careful.

What's here usually?
Asih: Nothing, just scared. Nothing bad happened here before.

Scared of what?
Asih: I'm afraid they will be dragged by the flood. I also afraid they will be sick, that's why before they go play in the flood I give them a lot of food and vitamins.

So they can play?
Asih: They can play but must be supervised. I'm supervising them now.

Water from the flood is unhygienic. Flu and skin diseases is a common illness that the flood victim get.
