Dramatic footage has emerged from North Carolina, USA, of a massive fire engulfing a building in downtown Raleigh.

The video, captured today in Raleigh, NC, shows massive flames coming out of the windows of the apartment and a cloud of smoke rising up in the air.

I live in the Link apartments which were directly across the street from the building that caught fire. As you can see, my apartment itself looks over the construction site that's about 15 yards away. I took the video right before I grabbed my cat and got out of there. I woke up to some news articles this morning saying that there was damage to my building, but haven't yet found the actual state of my apartment yet. I wouldn't be very surprised by glass damage or fire damage due to the proximity. I'm glad there was only the one injury and thankful for all the first responders we have here in Raleigh.
