Dramatic footage has emerged from central China of floodwater gushing through a village.

The video, filmed in Sanmenxia, Henan Province, shows the water engulfing the main roads and the houses on either side.

According to local reports, a leaking reservoir caused the flooding.

Around 300 villagers have been evacuated while repair work on the reservoir is ongoing.

No casualties were reported.

Dramatic video has emerged from China of a village being flooded by the water leaking from a reservoir.

The footage, filmed in Sanmenxia, Henan Province on Tuesday, shows the street and houses being submerged by the 30-centimetre-deep water.

The water leaking from a reservoir flew down into the village and flooded it.

300 villagers were evacuated to safe place and the leaking part of the reservoir were blocked.

No casualties were reported.
